Location. Cliffeside Hotel is set on Bournemouth's prestigious East Cliff, above miles of golden beaches with superb views over the Channel. It is a classic English resort hotel, 500 metres from the sea and one mile from the town centre. Bournemouth Airport (BOH) is six miles away, an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
Hotel Features.Staff at the 24 hour reception desk can offer tourist advice, and place valuables in a safe deposit box, and there is also 24 hour room service. Guests can take a dip in a heated outdoor pool, with a larger pool available for use at the neighbouring Cumberland Hotel. Dial up Internet connections are available, and there is complimentary parking.
The Cliffeside Hotel offers two dining options: The contemporary Atlantic Restaurant offering pool views and serving international dishes using fresh local produce; and The Harbour Lounge Bar serving a selection of salads, light meals, sandwiches and pastries, with an ocean view terrace offering an al fresco option.
Guestrooms. The 61 guestrooms are located on four floors and are accessible by lift. All have simple, modern decor and furnishings with classic English touches, and include direct dial telephones, televisions, coffee and tea makers, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Rooms with sea views are available on request, subject to availability.
Expert Tip. Brownsea Island, seven miles from the hotel, boasts splendid beaches on its south shore, as well as two nature reserves inland. The north of the island is a sanctuary for waterfowl, while the south reserve plays host to magnificent peacocks.

Getting there. Yellow buses connect Bournemouth Airport with Bournemouth Travel Interchange (rail, bus and coach station). Single fare is 4 GBP. Airport approved taxis meet all arriving flights and typically cost 15 GBP to the hotel. All prices subject to change. Yellow buses are a good way of getting around Bournemouth, and in summer there are many open top buses. Land trains run along the seafront and cliff lifts (short funicular railways) run down to the beach.
