Location. The Prime Hotel Saint John is located in Rome, Italy, just to the south of the centre and well placed to explore this most beautiful of historic cities, with the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps all roughly one kilometre away. The closest metro station is San Giovanni, three stops from Termini.
Hotel Features. The Prime Hotel Saint John is a modern minimalist design hotel using stone, timbers and clear crystal as materials to sit harmoniously with the historic character of Rome. The lobby has a fireplace, offers complimentary newspapers and serves coffee. There is garage parking nearby (surcharge) and wireless Internet is available for a surcharge.
The Patmos Lounge Caf� is open 24 hours and serves dishes with an Italian flavour. A continental buffet breakfast is complimentary and served each morning.
The Prime Hotel is set adjacent a fitness centre with a modern gym (discounted entrance fees apply).
Guestrooms. The 83 rooms of the Prime Hotel Saint John are air conditioned, soundproofed, and furnished in a silver patterned design. The bathrooms are marble with showers and tubs, and fitted with makeup mirrors, hair dryers and telephones. All rooms have satellite television with pay movies, wireless Internet, desks, direct dial phones and minibars.
Expert Tip. Two of Rome's most acclaimed coffee houses are to be found on either side of the Pantheon. Tazzo D'Oro is cheaper and serves a splendid coffee granita, while the espresso at Bar San Eustachio has a spectacularly thick crema.

From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO):
Distance to Prime Hotel Saint John is 28 kilometres, approximately 50 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and the Termini train station in the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus runs between the airport and Termini station. Taxis to the city centre cost about 60 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. Prices are all subject to change. Metro line A connects Termini and San Giovanni station, 400 metres from the hotel.
Getting around. Rome's historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors.
